In this category you will find professional in-building cellular solutions for large office buildings, production facilities, industrial halls and campus environments with a typical coverage area of approximately 2,000 to 100,000 m².
From this scale onwards, conventional cellular boosters reach their physical and system-related limitations. To achieve uniform, stable and scalable cellular coverage, active in-building systems (Active DAS) are therefore required.
Active DAS – the right technology for large-scale deployments
Active DAS systems distribute the cellular signal actively via remote units throughout the building. This allows large areas to be covered with low loss, consistently and in a controlled manner – independent of cable lengths, number of floors or complex building geometries.
Different system approaches – depending on project requirements
Depending on building size, operator requirements and budget, different Active DAS systems may be deployed:
- Zyxel ZoneDAS – modular Active DAS systems for multi-operator and multi-band coverage with high scalability, ideal for large office buildings, campus solutions, hospitals and industrial sites.
- Nextivity QUATRA 1000 – an Active DAS solution for single-operator scenarios, often a cost-effective alternative to classic DAS systems, using CAT cabling or fiber for signal distribution.
- Nextivity QUATRA 4000 – a high-performance Active DAS system for multi-operator environments, suitable for large areas with increased requirements for capacity and network quality.
Combination with Nextivity cellular boosters
In many projects, an Active DAS system is combined with Nextivity cellular boosters. The boosters provide the external network interface, while ZoneDAS or QUATRA ensures low-loss signal distribution within the building.
