Top Deck Reception
Omnidirectional antennas at the railing edge – ensuring at least one antenna always has a clear line of sight to the nearest BTS.
Reliable 5G/LTE coverage at sea – from workboats to yachts. We design, install, and operate customized systems with remote maintenance so that crew & offshore teams remain connected on board.

Signal distribution via remote units & service antennas – mostly in corridors, targeted in special rooms.

On an offshore supply vessel, we combined three SymRepeaters as input signal sources with a circular top-deck antenna arrangement. Inside, a ZoneDAS-One operates with a base unit on deck 4, expanders on decks 3 & 2, and 14 remote units; coverage is provided via 56 service antennas in corridors and selected areas (e.g. bridge, engine room, cinema, fitness). Band coverage includes B1/B3/B8/B28, band-selective and adapted to the deployment region; full selectivity is intentionally left open, as the vessels operate worldwide. Result: stable coverage in >90% of areas.
Component example incl.: ZoneDAS One base/expander/remote modules, service antennas & marine cable routing (details see internal order 16361).
Note: These details are intentionally simplified. Detailed plans, measurement protocols and engineering information are provided during the project discussion.
Note: We use example images only, not photos of the actual vessel. Remote units are generally installed invisibly in public areas; visible equipment is located in crew/technical zones.
